Kate Snyder, PhD
Co-founder
Kate has been listening to the Grateful Dead since birth and going to music festivals for almost as long. She was a huge appreciator of the early-2000s music visualizers, but she truly learned the power of seeing sound - and developed advanced audio analysis skills - during her PhD studying the evolution of birds' songs.
This took on even more meaning when she found out she had hearing loss in her late 20s and realized that, while she couldn't hear all the nuances in music anymore, with the right visualization, she could still appreciate them. Kate also loves hula hooping, spinning poi, and riding horses.
Nick Pettit
Co-founder
Nick has been living at the intersection of art and technology for as long as he can remember. He started in the web industry and eventually found his way into gaming. In the last decade, he's shipped award-winning titles on Steam, mobile, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and VR. He's also released a number of open source projects. His passion for creating novel experiences is what drives him to push the boundaries of digital media.
When he's not coding, Nick enjoys cats, Muay Thai, and cocktails, but never at the same time.
